Gary Uhlman Sr.

36 years experience in the automotive repair industry. Graduated from Mergenthaler Vo-Tech 1974 with a degree in Electronics.Gary founded Gary’s automotive in 1987 and earned a degree in Business Management from Management Success 1997.
 
ASE Certified in Brakes, Electrical, Engine Performance, Engine Repair, Steering & Suspension, Heating &Air Conditioning as well as an ASE Certified Service Advisor and Auto Parts Specialist.
 
Gary is trained and certified in Vehicle Emissions and has various factory training from GM & Toyota. Gary is also an Authorized Maryland State Inspector.



Beverly Uhlman

Beverly is co-owner of Gary’s Automotive. Beverly received her Business & Service Management training through Management Success in California.Beverly has gotten to know cars pretty well over the past 24 years.

Beverly has developed many friendships with our customers and knows almost all of our customers by name. Beverly is responsible for job estimating,scheduling and work flow at the shop and her favorite part of the job is talking with all the great people that she meets on a daily basis.



 Derek Griggs

Derek has 10 years’ experience repairing automobiles. Derek received his vocational training from Lincoln Technical Institute, with a 3 year apprenticeship at an independent repair shop, followed by 2 years at a local Toyota Dealership.

Derek has over 100 college credits from UMBC as well as a certificate in advanced automotive computer diagnostics and evaporative emissions systems.  Derek is MACS certified in Air Conditioning, ASE certified in Brakes, Electrical Systems, Steering and Suspension, as well as being an authorized Maryland State Inspector.

Derek is currently working on his degree in mechanical engineering.



Peter Park

Peter has 13 years’ experience repairing Automobiles and medium duty trucks.  Peter attended Montgomery College and graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute in Columbia.  Peter began his apprenticeship at a local GM dealership where he spent 9 years and received GM’s excellence award. Peter is GM certified in many areas including automatic transmissions and GM diesel repair.

Peter spent an additional 4 years at an independent facility honing his skills on various model domestic & import vehicles. ASE certified in Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Brakes, Heating & A/C and Electrical systems.

Peter enjoys working with his hands and developing his automotive skills.

Gary Uhlman Jr.

Gary Jr. has 14 years’ experience repairing automobiles. Gary Jr. received his vocational training from Tall Oaks High School in Bowieand completed his 3 year apprenticeship here at Gary’s Automotive. Gary has an additional 11 years’ experience here as a Certified Automotive Technician.

ASE Certified in Brakes, Electrical, Steering & Suspension and Heating & Air Conditioning. Gary Jr. is also MACS certified in Air Conditioning, as well as being an authorized Maryland State Inspector.
